I was raised at Lawton/Ft Sill. Meers has the BEST burgers in the world. The large one filled a pie tin and was cut in quarters. Also, their pecan pie and coconut cream pie are to die for Meers was open and slinging burgers and fries when I was at Ft. Sill in1967. Always easy to get a carload of guys willing to drive out there.

It’s ok. I think folks like it because there’s nothing within about 30 miles that’s better. But, that’s not saying much.

How about Mia's on Lemmon Ave in Dallas. Old house converted into a restaurant and has been operating since the early '80s. Best brisket tacos ever. EVER. They’ve moved to a new building

I had my own table in there, used to eat there several times a month, I ate one of the last steaks there the last night they were open at this location. The new location in Rowen just isn't the same. This building has deteriorated very quickly. I remember when Katelyn ate there and gave it good reviews.

Just remembered the Southern Kitchen
Doug's Drive-in. Doug cooked BBQ out back of the convenience store and it was very good. IT was on East Grand Ave. near the White Rock lake spillway.
The Prince of Hamburgers on Lemon Ave.

If you worked in downtown Dallas back in The Day, you would travel underground to visit the famous Blue Front.
