the rte I laid out will be the least traffic, you should be going the opposite way of traffic going that way. dfw to okc will be a beating due to the 4th coming up. figure 9 1/2 hrs. @ 70 avg

Depends on how many Covid bars you plan to stop at along the route. In North Texas, they are all shut down. In OK, they are free wheelin' and ready to share some Rona rompin'.

Per Google Maps there is construction on 35 South of OKC so you may want to avoid that.
Who is going to pay for the truck rental? And Gas? Are you going to hang around while they make the fixes? If so, who pays for the hotel? If not dump the truck and rent a car. Are you going to have to make the return trip to pick them back up?

hit 271 in paris, turnpike to 75, 75 into tulsa, go around west side to 412 w to I35 then north. can't do it any shorter or faster. he can catch 271 just outside gladewater, all big truck friendly and low traffic volumes except for tulsa tell him he has my permission to plow thru any protesters if need be. This, exactly

Now the real question is why would you want to drive to Wichita or what is it that has you going to Kansas in a big old truck? Uniform company did our order wrong and can’t get shipping in time for us to fit kids for the fall. I told them if they could get them fixed in 10 days, I’d drive them up there myself. You need a big truck to haul uniforms? Do you have like 10,000 kids?

If it were during the Winter I would offer to ride up with you and pick them up. Too much A/C business right now for me to take a couple days off. One of our Manufacturers has a big facility on Wichita but I have never been there.
