Freedom of speech?

Nazi doesn't count. We lost a lot of lives trying to wipe that stain off the face of the earth. There's a whole lot of WWII vets that would be deeply and personally offended.

Per the US Supreme Court, it does. Here is some lite reading:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Socialist_Party_of_America_v._Village_of_Skokie

And the great irony was that some of the ACLU Lawyers that helped the Nazis get the right to march were Jewish.

On a side note, this was the inspiration behind the 'I hate Illinois Nazis' scene in The Blues Brothers.

I'm at least glad to hear she survived.

I wish she could have been sneakier. I know if I had a neighbor across the street that decided he was going to go full Nazi with his flag setup, or ISIS flags maybe...I mean, I just know they wouldn't last long. The flags...and possibly the neighbor if push came to shove.

I've never claimed to be a perfect person, and I know, right or wrong, that I 100% wouldn't sit there and look at that garbage day in and day out. Not a chance.

When I took my concealed weapons class they pounded into us that you can not shoot until a fire arm is pointed at you ? Yet everyone in Texas believes you can shoot to protect your property even if your life isn't threatened . When will they educate people which one is correct . I have tried to look it up and I'm uncertain about it . Then I read examples of people shooting unarmed thieves and not getting arrested for it in Texas . I think thieves should be shot but I'm not ready to go to prison for it .

*not defending a scumbag flying a Nazi flag, but free speech is free speech, even if the left doesn't agree with it.

It’s not legal to curb stomp someone because you don’t like their flag.

There are plenty of flags I don’t like. That does not make it legal for me to curb stomp Longhorns, or some other lowlife miscreants.

Agree. Displaying that flag is disgusting, but so is vandalizing or stealing private property. He has a right to freedom of speech and private property.

I agree it’s wrong to fly that flag or wear that on an armband (which the article says he would do when he left the house). But it is protected speech. There are a whole lot of people offended by a lot of things. Offensive speech is protected, as it should be.

Will someone please explain the physics in RO519's signature gif? That band shouldn't be able to rebound farther back than it was initially pulled, right? How is she getting hit in the face there?

In the military we always said "I may not agree with what you say, but I'll give my live defending your right to say it".

Then they taught you wrong. Knives are just as deadly. Axes. Tire irons. Someone has their back to you and is stabbing another person - you aren't going to shoot because there's no gun pointed at you? (assuming you have a clean shot)

The law you're looking for is Texas Penal Code section 9.42:
A person is justified in using deadly force against another to protect land or tangible, movable property:

..... (some conditions here).....

(a) to prevent the other's imminent commission of arson, burglary, robbery, aggravated robbery, theft during the nighttime, or criminal mischief during the nighttime;

If you have a permit, you should know Penal Code Chapter 9 forwards and backwards.

She's getting hit with a watermelon, which unlike the band, can go a lot further

Yea, I don't think the band is going all the way back to her face. It is the watermelon that didn't shoot out. Regardless, I bet it hurt like hell and is pretty dang funny.
