Oh yes there are liberal big city politicians that want to shut it down, fine you or worse business owners. Don’t you kid yourself for one minute.

It's a shame when a Governor in another state finds glee and happiness in another state's moment of crisis. Texas sent healthcare workers and supplies to help NY. Then Cuomo gets mouthy and takes a shot at some states. Patrick has a point here. Cuomo is pure evil in my mind. Who truly is happy and boastful over deaths? A sociopath.

[/quote] I don’t believe this goes away until we reach herd immunity. This kicking the can down the road thing is stupid. Let’s get to herd immunity, and get it over with.
Y’all can blame whoever you want. Truth is, it’s not going away until the herd is immune. All these steps are doing is delaying what willhappen.
I think the problem is having enough hospital space and medical personnel to handle a larger population at once.

What I did not see and its a shame, is Patrick not pressing Texans to keep doing things that will slow it down. He went the other way talking about how we don't need to worry and almost nothing that would instill people to keep following the rules.

Also, this just in: That’s pretty funny 😄
Courage - knowing something will hurt and still doing it. Stupidity - knowing something will hurt and still doing it. That’s why life is difficult

Even if the hospitals have the available beds, they may not have the staff to take care of them...that is a large part of the issue with the increasing hospitalization rates.

Don’t just blame it on the people bumpin and grindin all up in da club or people that attended a giant funeral in Houston. There are many idiots, tough guys and freedom/liberty lovers, that are still not wearing masks and bunching up together at restaurant/bars like Boomer Jack’s and Gilligans and Tipsey Oak and other places like that. I’ve seen this with my own eyes.
Hell, The catfish guy in grand Prairie flat out told everybody that he wasn’t going to wear a mask or make his people or customers wear a mask. That does not instill a lot of confidence for people that are trying to follow the rules and be good citizens and neighbors.
Those people are just as much to blame for this.

And for the record, what I do is essential whether the economy is in the crapper or there’s a pandemic going on. I have been wearing an N95 mask, gloves, goggles, and a face shield every single day since March 11 and I do work for some of the largest companies in the world and haven’t missed a single day.
I know all too well the discomfort of wearing PPE but I also realize that it may help protect people that I come in contact with.
