Why not just say "criminals"? noun The definition of a thug is a murderer, robber or other criminal, or a member of a band of professional assassins from northern India. Does the word "thug" offend you?

In the eyes of a liberal, you stand to hurt the thugs feelings when you call them a thug. Criminal has a much more respectable sound to it. They want the thug to feel good about themselves. Self esteem and all that bs. Maybe even, Mr. Criminal.

Why not just say "criminals"? We all know what "thug" refers to. Thats why they love it sooo much and will fight so hard to defend its use.

No need to sugar coat it for the handful of liberals here.

Hilarious isn't it? Sorry, to clarify "you two guys"= they I guess "we" are in the company of Obama then huh? https://www.usatoday.com/story/theo...imore-stephanie-rawlings-blake/26585143/President Obama doesn't regret using the term "thug" in describing the violent rioters in Baltimore this week, spokesman Josh Earnest said Wednesday.
"Whether it's arson or, you know, the looting of a liquor store ... those were thuggish acts," Earnest said.
In discussing the riots Tuesday, Obama assailed the "criminals and thugs who tore up the place," and described them as a distraction from the real issues of police brutality.
Some critics ascribe racial connotations to the word "thug" -- Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake walked back the term earlier this week -- but Obama doesn't agree, officials said.
The vast majority of the protesters of a recent police killing acted in a law-abiding way, Earnest said.
"At the same time, we saw a small minority of individuals engaged in other activity that was not responsible that is clearly a crime," Earnest said.
He added: "And when you're looting up a convenience store or you're throwing a cinder block at a police officer, you're engaging in thuggish behavior and that's why the President used that word."

I don't mind the use of the word "thugs" over "criminals" as I do not mind the use of the word " illegals " over, what did they tell us we should call them again?, undocumented immigrants? It's a shame BLM is being USED and weaponized by the same half of our government that has suppressed them for decades. If you're not a thug yourself, quit defending them, less pettiness and more positive action.

Not written by Ted Nugent, the guy who soiled his pants to avoid the draft. People like you co-opted the kneeling as an attack against the US military. Kaepernick originally protested without kneeling, but on Sept. 1, 2016, he transitioned to taking a knee in protest instead. This was based on advice from retired Green Beret Nate Boyer, who suggested kneeling during the ceremony would be more respectful towards veterans. It was his radical wife. Nate Boyer, Green Beret and former NFL player, 100% suggested Kaep kneel instead of sit for the anthem. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/...epernick-to-go-from-sitting-to-kneeling/Read the same thing. As radically conservative as I am I now agree with Kap's symbolism. Don't agree with his socks showing a pig in a police uniform as it paints all police officers with the same brush (if he is standing by his statement reasoning that he wore them to highlight radical rogue cops). Long story short IMO ... He is a dumbazz that grew up in a sheltered life and doesn't know how to intelligently express himself to achieve the greatest result. He is a rich dumbazz though.

Teams stayed in the locker prior to 2009. The Department of Defense also spent $6.8 million from 2012-2015 for "paid patriotism" at sporting events.
Is this an immoral or amoral thing in your eyes ?
