I was always a Dale Earnhardt fan. My first dirt car was number 3. However, I also liked drivers like “Texas” Terry Labonte, Darrell Waltrip, Rusty Wallace, Ken Schrader, etc. I didn’t just despise anyone. That changed i believe in 1992 when Jeff Gordon started. As the years went by, and after Earnhardt died, more and more of these young drivers started. I found myself beginning to like, and start pulling for Jeff Gordon. Jimmie Johnson is doing that for me now. Pulling for him to get one more win before he retires. My favorites now are Bowyer, Truex Jr, and Harvick. I still enjoy keeping up with Kenny Schrader. Still Racing.

Still Racing. Dirt racing is the same. Always a Billy Moyer fan. He was dominating back in his day. Larry Phillips, Jack Boggs, etc won a lot. Scott Bloomquist was unbeatable for a long time. Now, racers like Moyer and Bloomquist, you very seldom see them in the winners circle, although Bloomquist did finish 3 or 4th last night at Volunteer Speedway. I guess Father Time catches up with all of us eventually. I couldn’t even crawl through the window of a race car anymore now. Remember racecar spelled backwards is still racecar.

Never will forget his 1994 wreck at Talladega.

If Jeff Gordon tries to be anymore sincere, he is going to start bawling as he stares into the camera. NASCAR is taking itself way too seriously through this. Most people tune into the race to escape from the current events for a couple of hours. NASCAR is not going to let that happen. They are falling all over themselves to show the public how “woke” they are. Just race the dang cares already.

Let's go racing!
Agreed that was a very moving opening to the race. I'm with Bubba. Absolutely disgusting that someone would have to deal with that.
On to the racing though, I've checked the weather it does not look promising that they're going to get this thing in today either. Big storms coming.
Knowing that these thunderstorms tend to bubble up in the afternoons I don't know why they would not have tried to start this thing at like 11 a.m.
Pulling for the 48, but really just hoping to see a good race and everyone be safe...would also be nice if they could finish it today...but again I don't know if that's going to happen.
