Wonder if the mass protest crowds have contributed to higher numbers? It's usually about a 14 day trailing increase. The current rise would probably be more from the opening and people being lax. Probably be another week for the protest bump. Exactly!

Wonder if the mass protest crowds have contributed to higher numbers? What we're seeing right now is most likely from Labor Day travel and lakes and beaches being open. Next week would be when protest numbers would increase.

Cases are on the increase due to increased testing. It's the hospitalization rate that matters. Available ICU beds in particular are very important. Hospitals deserve a break, and if people would wear masks and avoid crowded places, it would be the patriotic thing to do.

Our numbers here jumped off the charts in the 20-29 age group once the bars opened and protests started. We have been running about 35 cases since this started. Today we have well over 500

If cases don't go through the roof, to me, its a good thing.
Wearing a mask, even if it is marginally better, along with safe spacing and common sense is the plan. People just do what you can, when you can.
I'm still at home, practicing distancing and face masks when in a store (please don't tell on my in the GTG) and trying to get through the summer. If the average number of cases go up 20% I don't think its a bad thing since it happens when twice the number of people are back working.
Keep the old and people with health issues safe.
