Got on the water early. Pesky bass kept hitting my ultra light setup and breaking me off. Anyway found some nice gills in some new places. One place that I caught about 20, the front of my boat could barely fit . So the fish are moving around from where I was previously fishing in the deeper more open water. Good numbers and some nice fish to boot. I am going to change the 7 lb sinking braid that I currently using to heavier lb test. The 7 lb is so small that you can barely see it even to pass it through the eye of a #8 hook. Their 17 lb test is as thin or thinner than 6lb mono.

I can relate. It's getting to the point where I'm gonna need some of those magnifiers the surgeons wear. And that's after getting great reports from optometrist. Using those threaders from a sewing kit.

Tom...nice catch...Why would your boat barely fit in deeper more open water ? Steve. I caught them in the back of one of the coves in a pocket up next to the bank. They were stacked in an area about 10 feet wide 30 to 40 feet deep. The water depth was about 3 feet back in that cut.
