I have never tried this, but the doctor in the DMN that writes about home remedies said it worked really well
Cut an onion and rub the juice on the sting. Supposedly the juice will chemically react with the poison and render it harmless.
BTW - kill ALL red wasps.

A trick I learned a longtime ago was to make a damp paste of baking soda and water and slather it over the sting area. Best thing , but must be done immediately to be most effective. Try to rub it into the hole the stinger left. MO

Okie Red Wasp Pokie Remedy
Hookup jumper cables to 12 volt battery
Moisten sting area touch jumper cables one end on each side of sting area, lift off, repeat at least 10 times.
Vedeo action and post here forthwith. Actually you need to come off a coil or plug to get the full voltage of electronic ignition system. You go around the bite or sting several times. Method is used in SA on snake bites. Red wasps are the worst pain wise but nothing itches like a yellow jacket. I had one 2 years ago that itched for a week. I got hit in upper arm by a black wasp and could not lift it for 15 minutes. Cold spoon method is supposed to work on yellow jacket stings but not sure about others.

Could get pretty warm, pretty fast!The teeth on the jumper cables pinching my under arm area would be my fear.

If you killed the bastage you can expect EVERY red wasp to converge on the area and sting you every time you go outside. So I hope you find a cure soon.

Tape a copper penny over the sting. 1980 or before. Takes the hurts away and the spot will not swell. Not sure why but it works
