Brilliant!

Whatever it is, it’s gotta be a high maintenance beating of a pet.

Nothing quite like a blue breasted parakeet wrapped in a jalapeño and bacon. Find a way to add some cream cheese for the trifecta.

Looks like a parakeet but hard to tell it’s actual size. Parakeets are small birds.
If you got that close it is a tame bird.

Retirement best job ever.

Won’t last long outside. It doesn’t know what predators are.

I suspect you are correct. Several red-tailed hawks here have been known to dine on the bluejays. I had nothing to catch it with or I would have tried. Tried to call the close by Petco to see if they had one escape but they were closed. Then it flew off into the neighbors yard.

Yeah, it was small in size, same size as the 2 budgerigar parakeets we had for the kids when they were small. They would occasionally get out of the cage with the kids opening the cage door and fly up on the non moving ceiling fan blades and perch. I would turn the fan on just a little bit and watch them rock back and forth trying to stay on. Eventually they would fly off.

I had a parakeet about 10 years ago that kept coming to my bird feeder. It looked almost the same - white with some blue. It always showed up with a flock of sparrows. I would go out there and the sparrows would take off, and he would sit on the feeder until I got about 2 feet away. Never could catch him.

Interesting that it was the same color. This one caught my eye as it flew through the water spray and flew into the crepe myrtle.

I've had birds like that before.
The problem is their beaks over grow.
So I looked up the fix abd found a diagram .
So I secured the bird and drew exact lines to file.
Got it done properly but when I took his head out of the shop vice it was dead.
