Hope you are right. Figures I see say 60-70% of population infection must happen before a real decline happens unless a vaccine appears. We are at app. 5% presently. Long way to go.

What I mean is back at the peak in April we had ~30K new infections per day. We had 16K critical cases on any given day (not all new), and we were averaging 2K dead per day. Now we are averaging 20K new cases per day and still have 16K critical cases on any given day, but the death rate has dropped down to around 750 deaths per day. So a 30% reduction in daily cases and flat critical cases has yielded a 60%+ reduction in deaths.

I suspect doctors have just gotten much better at treating it.

Abbott's press conference today really breaks down the numbers of this "surge" fairly well. Interesting to watch if you have a few minutes. Makes you understand that Texas is doing really well and these surges are being planned for.

I watched. Was informative. A person at my wife's work tested positive last Sunday.

My mom went to see her doc yesterday due to a chronic cough. He said she may be positive for the corona and needed to start treatments. No tests were done. She went to get a 2nd opinion and the doctor said she had laryngitis. Never suspected corona because she never had a fever. Doctors are complete idiots right now and want to diagnose everything as corona.

Thanks! I was on my phone and forgot to post a link.

I'll get excited when baby aspirin works. Too many "Breakthroughs" that some one eventually declares invalid. At least they temporarily boost the DOW ("temporarily" emphasized).

The Brits are usually pretty good at this type of stuff...I'd trust them before I'd trust the Chinese Government.

This whole ordeal has been utterly ridiculous.

Please do not be offended. I'm only here for the good time.
