I finally made it back after nearly 20 years and it felt good, I didn't manage to catch any weighable fish but I did get 5 to the boat. It was tough and the fish seem to be short striking for us, missed quiet a few on the crankbait bite and boated one on the Carolina rig. I got a lot of questions answered yesterday and now I think I'll be ready for the whole Cowboy Division next year; I just hope COVID doesn't push us into summer fishing. It was also amazing to see how much the technology has changed in almost two decades, I got to fish out of a Triton TRX21 rigged with a Pro XS 250 and all the bells and whistles. I understood quickly why having good electronics on board and Power Poles is so important. I gained a lot of valuable knowledge yesterday and I'd like to thank Jamey Cole from Springhill, Louisiana for taking the time to show me things I needed to know.

I wouldn’t say yesterday was off the charts by no means. There was some talent that didn’t do too good that have been smashing them lately. Heard the lake had 3 tournaments yesterday also. Complete circus

Ruthless you might want to absorb what you read before you type. He fished as a non boater. I'm not a rocket scientist but it seems like he just wanted to get his feet wet. And even if he was going to be a boater it's his choice. He could have the finances to fish. Out of curiosity what did you say in Ruthless

I've noticed we have a lot Billy Bad [censored] on these forums the past few days. A lot of people on here are perfect. Never lots a fish. Pulls all their own hooks out of their fingers with their teeth and are pro's at giving advice on how to be a pro. If I had half the talent and knowledge as a handful of these guys I would be beating sponsors off with a club. It's a surprise that these same guys aren't doing the same.

My bad, I left out as an amateur. I’m doing this mainly for an education. I’d like to turn pro but if that don’t work out I’m going to coach an HS team and may do that anyway......
