I'm looking to repower my bay boat with a rebuilt Mercury 150 Optimax. Currently I have a 115 Opti on it and runs fine and no issues. It's a 2005 so it's getting up there in age and no telling how much life is left. Anyone have any recommendations or know of anyone that can assist? Thanks.

I know you didn't ask, but I wouldn't do it. My opinion is that a working motor is a known entity, and a rebuilt one had some issue that required it to be rebuilt. Alot of things could go wrong, or is wrong. Unless it's severly underpowered, I'd take care of a motor that's working well, and go until you start experiencing problems before considering repower. I have 2 boats, 2003 and 2005 motors. I run those without any issues and they've not stranded me, yet (fingers crossed). Tim
