 Hummimbird gps gping in and out

Bird 998 gps keeps going in and out all day long. Anyone else ever have that problem or have any suggestions on how to fix it? All connections seem good as does the puck. Everything else works fine.

Start first with verifying the power is still good. Battery and connections. One of the first signs of a power issue is a flakey GPS
