our local state park thinks they are a bank with the hours they keep even if you have a season pass you cant fill out a card like you used to do after they are gone I will bet that not one of them has got a short paycheck since this disaster on or country has started.

Right now it seems all the State Parks in my area of the state are booked for the weekends about a week ahead and that's just for a day pass.
Plan ahead at least a week in advance if you want to get into most state parks on a weekend.
Week days are pretty close to the same. People just need to go back to work and the schools need to reopen.

I live about 7-8 minutes from Johnson Branch. I go on the website each Monday and make a reservation for Saturday, it takes about 5 minutes. I have a pass and you enter the number as part of the sign up and print the paper they would normally print at the gate from home. It is still covered by the pass but they want to have a head count because they are being told to do so. I hate it bad and yes it is stupid but that is the way you get in right now. I have been fishing the lake since 1993, have used all of the different ramps at one time or another, and have never been hit or broken into. Jordan and IDB are my least favorite ramps because of the zoo that ensues every weekend around those two areas.

Yes it is Gborg. I used to be able to come out during the week and avoid the jet fleas and wake over the bow boats. Now, it's just like I was fishing on the weekend. Death defying to try to go from Nealy slough to villa marina. A few days ago I had a grandkid puller doing "S' in front of me, I cut hard to the bank, he followed went to the channel and there he was again. Wake boats are the worst though, as those wakes go over my bow allot.

I am ready for the wu wu to be over and for everyone to go back to work.

I don't understand getting upset at the employees and throwing around sassy verbal jabs. The rules are set in place, they are there to enforce it, nothing you can do except check the website to see if there are any restrictions next time.

nobody is upset at the employees they are going to be paid their full checks just like they would be as if they went to their job like regular working folks . what we don't understand is when you buy a park pass that entitles you to enter the parks after the hours the gates are open is that you cannot do this because the boxes to fill out the permits are covered up an the gates are closed that is the rub.

Because there is a limit to the number of people allowed to enter! If you don't get the reservation on line, they do not know how many are in the park. Call the governor, he set the rules.

Directed at an employee, that sounds like someone getting upset and sassy to me. Like they have been waiting to use that line. As for the pass, i pay for internet, electricity and phone service. Every once in a while a storm might screw with them and create issues with the service. Beyond my control.

Likewise, something out of everyone's control has caused access to the parks to change. Regardless of how inconvenient it is, you either go home and learn to follow the new procedures, or you go elsewhere and hope they let you in. I would personally do the former.

We've been using the Sanger ramp near the marina and have not had any issues. On the weekends, we try and get there early.

First time ever seeing the wardens out on the lake yesterday. They pulled over a guy for going to fast in the no wake zone going into the marina.
