Looking for a beach house rental in Galveston or near the beach for a decent price. Any recommendations?

Man, since everyone rebuilt after the last hurricane hit theyโ€™ve gone up drastically. Took the wife and son about 6 years ago and had a nice little house on the beach, cost me $750 for a week. Checked the same place last summer, they had rebuilt and it $1,700 a week. You may find a decent price on Bolivar. Good luck and let us know.

I've had good luck on VRBO with a few places in or near Jamaica Beach.

Not right on the beach, couldn't really afford that, but a short walk to the beach. Prices were reasonable owners were good to deal with.

We booked a house on Bolivar in a couple weeks. There were tons of options to pick from. There is a lot of us going so it divided out to be pretty cheap. When it's just my family going we stay at the Galvestonian. It's not a beach house. But it's like an apartment with a fridge, stove, washer/dryer etc.. And you pretty much have the beach with only the people that are staying there, with beach chair and umbrella rental options. I have enjoyed my stays there.

Good luck. Most rentals are done months ahead of time.

I've used these folks before on Surfside. https://beachresortservices.com/

No complaints at all, we stayed at a house on Treasure Island there at San Luis Pass. Very quiet and absolutely nothing to do there but be on the beach, and fish.

We went to Jamaica Beach a month ago and are going back in two weeks. We got the place on AirBnb. I paid $300 per night. We stay on the bay side on the water. I like that better than being on the beach side.

We just got back from a weekend on Bolivar, Crystal Beach area. If you have young kids, the Ferry ride can be exciting, if not, I would recommend rolling out i-10 to Winnie and coming in from the East and drive down the peninsula. The beach was crazy crowded on Saturday. I would recommend staking claim for the area you want to set up on the beach fairly early in the morning.

Link to the house we stayed at.

I was looking at some really nice homes on the canals of Jamaica Beach. Some of the canals have the green lights for night fishing and most of the homes had kayaks you could borrow. Much cheaper option vs an actual beach house.

I would but I wonโ€™t have time. The whole family is going. Both my sisters and their families, plus my folks. Next time.
