Is there anyone out there that sells the safe routes on Roberts so you can run up north etc? I am always worried when I run up into Indian. Want run from Jordan to Buck but have no idea where the lanes are.

There aren't any lanes. I'd call them more paths. Some might be fine now but when the water is lower then they don't work out as well.
You'll need to go out with someone who knows what they are doing. You'll need to be really sure on they have a lot of time on the water out there. Best way is to go out there when the lake is low and mark your path. You'll spend most of the time idling but you will have more confidence in your run.

They better have a HUGE liability insurance policy if they do! There aren't really any defined "lanes". There's just areas where there were not as many trees. But so many of them have broken off just below the water line you better dang sure you know where you're going or you'll bust a lower unit in a heart beat. I've ridden with Wilcox and Walling back in the day and saw them both run through some stuff all the way to the back of Wolf that I would never run through.

I live on the South bank of Wolf Creek, I have very good lanes and landmarks, I have an old boat, and I have fished Roberts since 1993 and still many areas I won't run. Go slow, enjoy the scenery, it is beautiful country! Run on the south end as fast as you can going North to get away from the crowds, it is safe down there.
See you on the lake and have a great day!

Go with Dannie Golden, and hang on. Another gent that knows how to run that lake is Zeb Strickland. He drove my boat and we went in every creek north of Wolf Island at full tilt. Unbelievable! There were times when we had maybe 2 to 3feet on each side of the boat just flyin' through the trees. I had all those trails on my GPS and I was still scared to do what he did. We never ticked a tree!

I went out on a couple of calm sunny days and idled back marking every potential hazard. Eventually I learned to run to the back of Wolf, Indian and Isle Du Bois with only a slight pucker.....

Just do what a lot of the guys that fished Champs did, if you can't see it then its must not be there, lol. I used to be able to run most of the lake, stopped fishing the lake for several years and now everything is way different.

You can be really lucky running that lake when the water is full pool and slightly high like it is now. But about 2ft low itโs supper dangerous, either idle or follow someone and pray they know whatโs going on.

Is it somewhat safe to follow the creek channels?

You can't run RR by GPS alone. My trails/waypoints say stuff like "stay north here" "full pool only" etc. We are going to have hell here in a few years when the trees we use for markers all break off. Just do what a lot of the guys that fished Champs did, if you can't see it then its must not be there, lol. I used to be able to run most of the lake, stopped fishing the lake for several years and now everything is way different. It has been like that every day for several years now. I see people running where they shouldn't be all the time. Not that I want to, but still the only person I've seen hit something was me. Is it somewhat safe to follow the creek channels? Some people use that theory, I don't subscribe to it. Creek channels have big trees on them. I want to run pastures and only cross tree lines when I have to. That isn't how we do it 100% of the time but that is the goal. Some areas you are just going to be running over top of trees and you have to know what water levels that is safe to do.

Can you put business card dispensers at the ramp so you don't have too much time to eat popcorn?

Can you put business card dispensers at the ramp so you don't have too much time to eat popcorn? Totally! These guys are going to be uber busy if anyone reads this and gets the facade of big balls and runs the lake without slowing down.
