Just a curios thought, if we did away with them and they had to use their degree where would they be? Where would you be as a family? Sunday’s free? There is a lot of income lost I understand that. What could we gain as a society if we dedicated more time to family time and the athletes actually used their skills for ditch digging. Just saying.

call it what you will...he is not definitely not anywhere near the top of the list for QB's that I would choose needing a FG or touchdown drive late in the game.

Politics aside sports are a great thing. Good for them for being talented and being able to do what they love for a living. Nobody says you have to listen to their views. I for one am ready for some football.

I think sports are good for kids but way too much importance is put on it, to the point of it taking a back seat to education. As far as professional sports, I don't need to watch grown men play with a ball, but to each their own.

Colin Kaepernick was right. Go Frogs! Gary Patterson is my kind of guy. I'm gonna buy your song, "Take A Step Back"

Did you mean to say that professional athletes would he ditch diggers if not for pro sports? Because that’s an interesting statement.

There would be a lot of lost income for the athletes, the owners, the stadium workers, the trainers, coaches, TV people, including production staff, sports bars, uber, taxis, public transportation, and on and on.

How would my life change? It would be the same as it has been the last three months. I’d fill it in with something else.

But I’m still curious why you think professional athletes would be ditch diggers if not for pro sports. Just because they had the chance to play pro sports and make millions doesn’t mean they couldn’t find something else besides manual labor and there is nothing wrong with manual labor. The majority of college athletes aren’t professional athletes and do something else. Athletics paves the way for kids who otherwise might not have a great education to get a college degree.

I'm sure not all of them would be restricted to digging ditches, my world is better with sports.

What if the tournament fishing guys were made to give up tourney fishing? What if KVD had to sell insurance Even small local T's and the stuff like Media, BFL, and TTT what they were shut down too? And then all these guys had to spend their previous time spent pre-fishing and tourney time with their families ... you know, flying kites and grilling hotdogs and such.

And then the new decision for college athletes to get paid ... let them pay to go to college and and play football in their spare time for fun. Outlaw the TV contracts. This would take care of Saturdays too for those glued to the screens watching college football instead of spending time with their families going to the malls with them and for long walks thru the park or along the beach.

Just some more thoughts and musings.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.
