They were trying to clear the streets. All could have been avoided if the protester had just responded positively to the request and done what was requested

He didn’t really push him very hard. Older, weaker guy who was walking backward and the push just made him lose his balance. The cop wasn’t pushing him hard at all. Or maliciously. Bad luck and really bad timing though.

Note to self: When protesting, if a riot cop tells me to get off the street, I should get off the street. Not very hard.

y'all need to watch the video, freeze it at 12 second mark, old dude is obviously raggin on the leo about the weapons and appears to reach for the ar15. were I that cop he would have been pushed back, he broke the rule of personal space when someone is armed. full video is here. had old dude not gone so close he would not have been pushed (he was not pushed all that hard either)

I did not see any problem with the police action, individual had no business approaching the LEO's, then reached for the cop, should have been smacked with the stick and arrested...he started the situation and was looking for a conflict...
