A forgotten prior engagement has been remembered--we will not be at Lake Athens tomorrow. But we will be on Joe Pool for a little while!

I have been on the lake the last two weekends. Memorial weekend was a zoo, pleasure boats bass boats and jet skies everywhere. Reminded me of caddyshack . They bit well but had to search for them, last weekend was tough.
Might head tomorrow for a few hours if night fishing, been flipping a coin thus afternoon it is down to Hubbard Creek, Fork or Athens

Only one we caught all day. Put in around 730, got a bite on a frog 3rd cast on the east side of the lake. This one my buddy got on a frog at around 10am or so. It's his PB so was worth the trip regardless

On the other hand, I'm not in a rush to go back. Wasn't a big fan of all the grass. I like cranking boat docks/stumps and what not. Never have been a big grass fisherman.

Just got to our room at HC.. Let the real fishing begin!

I’ve said this several time but each time I think it’s true. Today was legitimately the
Most vehicles I’ve ever seen there. Even the overflow parking was full by 10.

That being said, I olmost died because I ran up on some wake boat waves that I didn’t see and got some serious AIR.

but brushpiles produced nice fish for me today. Caught 5 nice sized ones and was out less than two hours later. It was hot and my furry friend was ready to go.

The overflow was full at 5:30am!!!

We had a tournament there today as well as a Kayak group with their tourney.
It was very congested. After about 7 am, everywhere you went was “used water”. Still managed to catch 24-25 good fish today. Almost entirely on a 4” wacky Senko. A few were caught on a 6xd in sexy shad. But, that’s a tough way to fish a grass lake. Lots of picking off grass every cast.

Eat. Sleep. Fish.

Are u throwing the senko around pads or what? Senko hasn’t been working for me

I miss grass. I wish Texas lakes were covered in it. Helps the bass and makes it easier to find them.
