I am learing my new home lake - slowly it seems at times - but trying to put in the time and enjoy it!
How and where should I fish for blues as the water warms up? Where do blues spawn (guessing they are close with the mid 70 water temps now) and do they bite good during the spawn?
More important I guess, where do they go after the spawn, and how do I fish them? Not chasing the huge trophy fish... Looking more for box or little bigger fish. I like to eat them, and enjoy catching the smaller ones with my boys.
Thanks in advance all!

You may want to hire Blue cat guide Jackie Kennedy on CC. He has a lot of knowledge he can share with you on your home lake. Good luck and good fishing.

My youngest son and I fished with Mr Kennedy back in March, and had a blast! Caught some good fish and definitely learned some spring tactics. I highly recommend him, very nice man, good fisherman and good with kids. I will go with him again, but can't afford to use guides very often... with that said, he is very reasonably priced!
So, trying to learn the old fashioned way. Spend time, try things and ask a lot of questions. Want to learn the blues and crappie first.
Cheers all
