Was curious if the crappie are biting, I’ve never fished for them out there. I’ve only Bass fished out there, I know people catch them in the timber. Wonder if it would be worth taking the kiddo and trying to put some in the boat, and what works better minnow or jig and what depth is usually good this time of yr? Thanks in advance.

I went there Saturday. I caught 1 bass , a yellow belly and a catfish on a crappie jig. Bassman 78 was with me. He caught 1 keeper crappie. I didn't see anyone catching much. Bassman 78 talked to a feller at the marina that caught some. But he knew the lake and had livescope. We were fishing standing timber. The same as he was.

Okay, thanks. I figured I would just fish the timber and see what can I find. Maybe some the spots I know for bass will have some crappie hanging around.
