Anyone do much bank fishing on ponds in the area? I’m looking for some new locations to take my 6yo. Everywhere we’ve gone I’ve managed to scrounge up a bite but not much luck for him yet.

TIA

Here’s my little guy searching for a bite!

There’s a pond/lake near you in Glennloch Farms that my grandson says is full of fish. I don’t know if you have to live in there or not. If so, I know there’s back way in, though I don’t know where the secret path is. And on Grant Road, north of Spring Cypress a mile or so, my tennis buddy says there’s a small lake with a lot of bass. Seems like the subdivision is called Rock Creek or something similar. He fishes it.

I used to live at Grant and Cypresswood in Lakewood Forest. And there’s a lake in there too, in the Estates section.

Could you ask which one? There is a large center lake but about 90 of the banks are people’s backyard. Then there are two smaller ones along spring cypress but they look too monitored to be worn fishing.

Try the ponds around Windrose, some of the ponds you might get run off of but there are a couple you can fish from the road side not the course side.

Bobcat Fight never dies. I had the pleasure of working with Coach Pustejovsky, well deserved retirement!

I’ve wondered about Windrose but I get worried about taking a 6yr old around a golf course where we may get yelled at.

I guess just get permission from private. courses and who would be yelling at public courses unless the proverbial HOA's. Those folks got to much political pull and just ain't worth getting involved with bureaucratic organizational snobs with nothing else to do. Guess my "generation" is showing but that's okay. Let the kiddoes have fun and enjoy nature and times with good ol' dad. fish

Pustejovsky was one of my coach's when I played at Cy Fair, very good guy!
There is a pond over on the left side of the 13th fairway and you can fish from 3 sides of it(I see kids there all the time) and the back and right
side of the 10th green, if your on the course side they will run you off I know that because my buddy lives there and tries to fish the drainage pipe in front
of the 10th green and they run him off all the time, lol
