 2013 Merc. 60 EFI, surging at high rpms.

My motor started surging at high rpms. When I bring back the throttle, it runs fine for a bit and then surges again only after its warmed up. I replaced plugs, checked wires and coils. All good. I replaced fuel filters, water/ fuel seperator and removed and cleaned some black debris from EV tank. High pressure fuel pump appears good. Problem still there, not as bad. Next, I will rebuild the low pressure fuel pump. TBD.

Have you replaced the fuel lines? Is this a 4 stroke?

It is a four stroke. I removed the fuel supply line and checked it out. Did not see any issues.

Could be fuel filter/water separator...
