Can you get to the main lake from Britton park ramp without idling/any channel buoys?
Thanks

Heck I don’t feel safe from Britton Park nearly all the way to the Lake Ridge Parkway bridge. Years ago it was easy. You could see the channel through the timber and channel/boat lane was marked with buoys. Not sure I’d trust those old buoys now.

Yea, I saw buoys on Navionics but I can't see them going over Lake Ridge bridge. How much idle time would you say to get to that bridge?

I don't go that way much but it's safe from Loyd Park to the bridge as long as you don't venture off into the trees on the south side. There was a nut in an 80K wakeboard boat turning circles right out in front of the main point where you turn south. He wasn't more than 20-30 yds off shore. That's 2 FOW right there. Had kids tubing behind him. One of them falls off could break their neck. Pool has more idiots in one place than almost any place on earth. Picked up floating beer cans. Fishing was good, but putting up with the idiots takes something out of you.

I would say close to 15 minutes idle time from Britton park to bridge.

You can use Google Earth to find the safe run to where the old buoy system picks up on Navionics. I've run from the ramp to the bridge several times since they closed Loyd Park.
Real trucks don't need spark plugs.

I have not been up there in a long time but used to run all the way from Britton to the bridge. There used to be a lot more standing timber. If your mapping shows the boat lane and the lake is close to full you are probably ok.
I still run a couple miles past the bridge in the spring to fish some of the feeders and a flat on the west side. Have yet to hit anything.
