I have had so many problems with this unit and have had to send it to Humminbird once already for a fix. Last week I was fishing, using the DI and working fine, then i made a run and when i stopped, the screen was black. Depth was reading fine, but no image. I went out yesterday and played with the settings and got the bottom back, but I am not getting clear images of pilons and brush and such. Can anyone relate, or help me with this problem? I started by resetting to default and got the same results. I had to change surface clutter and sharpness to get the bottom back. I want to be able to see fish, bait, and structure and am loathing sending it back to Humminbird for yet another problem.

Hey How are you. Once you restore defaults, that is a great place to start. When it comes to imaging, you should leave the sharpness settings alone. Do you have any pictures you can post to let me see what you are seeing? What are your settings for 2D and DI?
