I didn't have any quarters so I had difficulty getting a shopping basket I didn't know I had to bring pocket change to go to the grocery store. I wanted to buy one onion but the only option was to buy like 5 lb of onions. The selection on almost everything was very limited. The way the store is laid out it was impossible almost to go back if you had forgotten something or passed it

Totally not fun.

I was a loyal Kroger guy for many years, but now I find myself mostly going to WinCo.

WinCo rocks.

This^ Winco is awesome.

We mostly shop at HEB, but Aldi does have some good deals and some good products. I find their trail mix, chips and jerky is much cheaper and still good. I use it on the boat all the time, no complaints from anybody. I buy a lot of canned beans, garbanzos, spinach. We buy produce sometimes, I find that it does not last a long, but the prices are good, So If you are going to use immediately produce isn't bad. We have found that their lunch meat is very salty, They have sales on baby back ribs that can be outstanding, don't know how this shut down has affected that. Eggs are crazy cheep, again not the highest quality. My wife bought a whole frozen duck there it was 1/3 the price of one at HEB, same duck, man it was delicious. Their breads are good but do not last long, I actually think this is due to less preservatives. If you think about it a loaf of white bread that can stay on the counter for 2 weeks with no changes should frighten anybody. You bring a quarter to get a cart, and you get it back when you return it to the row, So no cost, there. If you bring your own bags, which my wife does anyway, no matter where she goes. You can get an outrageous amount of food for a pretty good price if you know what to look for.

There's one right off 20 at Cooper in the shopping center with El Chico...It's just south of I-20.

again, way too far to drive for groceries. same with HEB. it's a drive to get to the closest one.

No, don't shop at ALDI, however we frequently make the less than 20 minute drive to HEB because it's the 🐐 of grocery stores

I made a shim and put it on my keychain so I don’t have to search for a quarter and can leave my cart abandoned in the parking lot to crash into others doors.

The ribs are advertised as never frozen so that is a plus.

And no saline added. Love them.

Fits well with the new section 8 apartments and 125,000$ house they built in 06

Aldi is a terrible place

Meat, especially baby back ribs and specialty cheeses. Their cheese is 1/3 what Kroger charges. The private label stuff I wouldn't feed to a hungry dog.
