I am considering retiring on lake Palestine. Just wanted to get some input from guys that fish there regularly on how good the fishing is there. I like to fish for LM bass, white bass, hybrids and crappie. Any input appreciated!

There are a lot of bass tourneys out there. Sand bass are coming back, there was a stress die off last year but they are coming back. Crappie however are awesome. One of the best lakes in East Texas. Not uncommon to catch a 2.5 or bigger crappie. Not trying to advertise, but check out some of my videos to see the crappie fishing. Most of it is on Palestine.

Just returned from staying 5 days at Palestine. I have never been there before and my buddy hasn't been for 10+ years. Beautiful lake. We did pretty well in the lower end of the lake. First bass was 5.6 lbs. Our first morning we boated 23, biggest being 5.4lbs. Biggest bass of the week was 8.4lber. We talked to several locals on their docks, they said it was busy, like a holiday weekend. We laughed, the most boats we saw on the main lake was 8. In the morning, we had the lake pretty much to ourselves. The weekends, I suspect are busier, but during this past week, it was a ghost town. I loved it.
