Why does this have to be so hard? Man...when I am certain I am not going to lose my job, I’m going to buy a hose reel. It’s hard enough when it’s warm outside, but when the air hose is cold, it’s even worse.

It's all in the wrist. Roll and coil, roll and coil, cuss and coil, cuss and coil

Stretch it out across the yard then roll it up That is how I do it after the air is out. I just hate to have to walk it out each time. It should be like an extension cord. We need a flat hose for air hoses

You’re talking about one of those small 3/8”-1/2” lines that has that nylon type jacket. Not a rubber hose. The hoses that come with those smaller compressors are difficult to roll up.

Harbor Freight has some fairly decent rubber air hoses that behave pretty well. The red 3/8” and the better black ones can be had at some bargain prices if you watch for the sales and coupons. I’m not too happy with their quick connects though. Milton brand is worth the extra $ if you can find them but not that junk, leaking China karp at Harbor. Maybe NAPA or Amazon.

Everyone can voice solutions... I call BS. Rolling up an air hose is a sure fire way to test a mans patience.

Try stretching it out all the way in a straight line and then roll it up on the floor, works great.

Part of my solution was to take my 50' hose and turn it into a 20' hose.
He is truly a sick individual.

No kidding on this. It takes a lot of patience and cussing. Cussing seems to help the most. I've been thingking about getting one of these auto rewinder things, but will have to mount it somewhere and it takes away the mobility of the compressor. I dunno. Guess I'll just keep working on stringing obscure cuss words together.
