Next Fri 5/22 marks the end of the school year. Since NJROTC will not be holding leadership camps this summer that means I'm off until early Aug. So my thoughts are beginning to turn towards my annual trek to the high country. When I go I'm going to spend more time in the far western part of the state fishing a bunch of lakes up on the Grand Mesa. I have a cousin that lives in Grand Junction and he lost his wife last year to an extended illness. He was my primary fishing and camping partner back before we both grew up, got married and started careers. So we are gonna take a trip down memory lane. Catch trout, cook over the campfire, chill the beer in a trout stream, howl at the moon like coyotes and just enjoy life.
