Talked my grandparents in joining my wife and kiddos on a beautiful afternoon cruise around Pool. Looks like this is becoming at normal thing. Weather was great, wind wasn't near as bad as I thought it was...and for anyone who has ever wondered why I bought a 24' boat, today was the reason. There was a total of 6 of us on the boat and each of us had PLENTY of room.
Started off at Majic hump and did not mark any fish, so I did not bother fishing it. Headed over to Fireman's and did not mark many fish, but marked enough to at least try. We pulled 3 nice sandies off that school and about 4 or 5 black bass. My grandmother hooked one that went about 5lbs and when she lifted him in the boat, the slab came out of his mouth.
I putted aournd looking for fish and did not fish any. So, I went north over to the ridge and did not mark any fish, so I did not bother fishing it. Went back to firemans and found very tight schools of fish and we picked off about 5 from each school. Right before we headed over to the Oasis to eat a burger, we hit the mother load. I have NEVER had my screen light up w/ fish on Pool like what happened. My wife grabbed the digital camera and got a decent picture of the screen.
All in all we cleaned about a limit of fish, at a great burger and got to spend some serious quality time w/ my grandparents who are almost 90.

It doesn't get much better than that!

I hooked a keeper!

Look real close and you'll see a 3/4 oz. slab hooked in my daughter's hair.

Lots and lots and lots of fish for Joe Pool...
