Almost two weeks ago now I was coming home from the lake with my five year old daughter when a 17 year old kid decided he needed to text while driving. He changed lanes into my truck and it snapped his cv axle and caused us to spin out on the interstate on an overpass. Long story short we crossed three lanes of traffic and hit the wall on the other side. Totaled my truck. Still waiting on a determination on the boat. Most importantly though everyone walked away. My daughter who I still have in a harnessed car seat as opposed to a booster seat actually slept through the whole event. She didn’t get scared until I was frantically trying to get us off the highway bridge because we were on a curve facing the wrong way and I didn’t want us to get hit. So for everyone who has been making orders from me the last couple of weeks I can’t thank you enough. Insurance came down hard on me. I had an old truck with 250,000 miles but it was in near showroom condition before the wreck. Would have lasted me for many years to come. They wouldn’t pay much at all for it. So again thanks to everyone!

I'm sorry about the insurance company...but I'm very glad you are okay. I hope the 17 year old learned their lesson. It could have been much worse. My mom got sideswiped by a kid about 10 years ago texting and driving...and it's gotten a lot worse since then.

Glad y’all made it out safe, I get angry seeing drivers on their phone texting while driving, it is truly a huge problem and I’m not sure it’s going to get better.

Ouch! Thats no way to park a skeeter,hope he had good insurance and you come out ahead on the boat and truck.
