I had this spot in my yard going on 3 years now. I’ve tried a bunch of different fertilizers and nothing has done the trick yet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. [Linked Image]

That's a fungus. Brown patch specifically. Throw some granule fungicide on it and wait. If you have irrigation, turn it down /off. Don't fertilize until fungus is gone or you'll just feed the fungus

Thanks jcanon for the reply I really appreciate it. I’ll start researching some fungicide.

Grubs go buy bayer complete. This is my lawn it was brown like that last year after a quarterly treatment it’s green and growing like crazy. I also put down weed and feed every 4 months. Just make sure if you have st Augustine use southern lawn.

Could be grubs too. Root around a little and you'll see them if that's what it is

Don't listen to those other guys....what you have there is a genuine crop circle. Those little green men have landed on your lawn and left their mark. I would be mighty careful if I was you!

Seriously, I have the same patch in my St. Augustine that just showed up in the past couple of weeks. I am going to give it this next week of rain to see if it turns around and then I will go with door #1 and apply some fungicide.
