30 May 2020 Bass Champs cancelled. Two 1 day tournaments to be held at Amistad in June

How do you think they were gonna launch? Everybody knew they would cancel. Statepark you have to launch off a cliff and county is down to one lane plus running to the right of the underwater bridge is super narrow. Think 200 plus boats are going to do that safely with all the chop? Good call champs.

It doesn't matter what decisions they make, some are going to be upset. I'm VERY happy they moved Cedar Creek off of Memorial Day. Those guys have a tough deal right now trying schedule around cities, marinas, etc constantly changing on them.

So are they gonna still go to texoma this year in north or what. They should just come out now tell where championship gonna be

It doesn't matter if CC is on memorial day or not. Its like a holiday out there every day of the week currently.

I wonder why they reschedule cc to may 30th, when. TTO already has a tournament on Lewisville that day? Tough on us fishing both. They need to at least look at a calendar to check.

It said in the email they couldn't get the permits for 5-23.

Chris then check the schedule and not jump on someone else's already scheduled date. Champs championship isn't until the fall, there are plenty of other Saturday s available. TTO has their championship in June, not so many choices. Thanks

My buddy called Log Cabin to verify. Log Cabin said there was no issue with the permits.

Don’t forget for north, that puts us back to back weekends on different lakes. Cedar creek now May 30th and Ray Roberts June 6th. Basically only day to prefish btw tourneys is May 31st. Is what it is. Might be better for us to fish a 2 individual tourneys on same lake on the same weekend. Doesn’t help that the 4th tourney lake still hasn’t been named. I get it, unforeseen circumstances. No one wins.

Last I checked TRWD was the controlling authority of the lake, not Log Cabin...





They changed the qualification parameters for the Championship because of all the changes; maybe you can still qualify and make an alternate choice for 5/30.

Why would Bass Champs lie about the cancellation. They are the #1 Tournament Trail in Texas. When your #1 you dont have to lie. A simple phone call would have been way better then throwing out 2nd hand info.

Maybe you could put Big O on the case.

If they gonna fish back to back weekends why don’t they just let Friday before ray Roberts be practice day

I thought this thread was about the cancellation of our South Texas region event on Falcon

We are in dire need of rain for our South Texas lakes, Amistad, Choke and Falcon are low low low. Launching at the south end of the lake at the State Park a 4x4 is recommended and if it rains like it normally does in May, I can't tell you what a mud hole mess that is and how many get stuck and have to be pulled out. It's a shame it was cancelled as the fishing has been good, but when you have lower lake levels it is what it is. I do feel bad for James as he ordered up and was looking forward to seeing all the BC staff and anglers.

North Texas folks send us some of your rain.
