My current insurance is up at the end of this month and I would like to shop around to make sure I get the best rates available. Can you guys provide some recommendations?

I got a quote this morning from Lisa at Harmon Insurance in Cleburne 817-641-3401. She saved me over $300 on my premium with better coverage. Previous policy was with GEICO BoatUS.

Bob w/Worldwide is an insurance broker. He doesn’t work for a specific insurance company but gets you the best rates. Have not had a claim through him but others have and rave reviews have been posted here through the years on claims made and his companies personal assistance(customer service?) handling the claim. I can say for a fact that he got me way better coverage for less than 1/2 the price I was quoted many years ago by State Farm who has my autos.......Way better coverage! Besides all the other additions(tackle, liability....) my policy is at a “contracted value” so in the case of a total loose my boats value has stayed the original $52,000(that’s just the boat, motor & trailer) instead of the usual payoff in the case the boat was totaled of receiving a depreciated value. $500/year from Worldwide. Over $1000 from State Farm.

I use Bob and have been very happy, I had to file a claim about a year and a half ago after hitting a stump and needing a new lower unit. It was in the fall and the insurance companies are very busy I guess with many claims after the summer and boating season ends for most. Bob was able to help out and get the claim processed faster for me. Travelers is who insures the boat and they were very good to work with and paid everything without any hassles,

I heard a lot of great things about Bob as well but the quote I received was higher than what I was currently paying with less coverage. Make sure to shop around, I ended up staying with my broker after I looked elsewhere.
