When my trolling motor is stowed, the head is down and the cables rub on the gunnel. I'd like to turn it to the right where the cables will be inside the boat. I took the 3 screws out but the head still won't turn. HELP, Please...!

I bet it turns more to the right than the left also when deployed? I think you have to take the head apart and disassemble to the point the gearing is freed up to adjust it. It has been a long time since I had one apart, but I tend to just start disassembling until I get to what I need to access.

You are right about it turning more to the right. I was living with that but wanted to turn the head to get the cable off the gunnel. Didn't think I'd have to get inside the head but I think you are right. I have adjusted the turning doing as you said before, so will get inside and try to fix it. Thanks for the advice.

Well, I adjusted the foot pedal where it would turn equal right and left but that still didn't solve my problem of the head pointing down when it was in the stow position. I took out the 3 screws just below the head again(took them all the way out) and it turned real easy. I guess I wasn't taking the screws far enough out to let it turn. Now the cable is inside the boat and doesn't lay on top of the gunnel where it was scratching it.
