Whatever you do, don’t waste your money on Banded waders. Sitka gear is for queers too. If you want a good pair of wader that will last you, the buy Simms. They’re backed by an unbelievable warranty and customer service. I wear breathable Gator waders because I know the owner. They’re good waders, haven’t leaked and their customer service is also top notch.

Simms

I think I am going to pick up a pair of these for fishing. $179 for Simms waders seems too good to pass up.

Good plan, you're right, those booted waders are a pita to carry and store.

Carry around, yes PIA. Store, not so much. Think 3 coat hangers for a store on the wall system(boots up).

Built this one last yr.

Boots = Duck
Stocking Foot = Fishing

I’ve had my G3 Guide Series for 15 years. No issues.

That looks good, Hop. I bought a track system from HD or Lowe’s and I can hang all kinds of stuff on different pegs, including waders, and it was cheap, if anyone wants an idea that doesn’t include carpentry. Cost me like $35, but if I had the skill and time, I’d go with pegs like Hip has.

yep, still here.

riverby is now mitigation land for the new lake going in south of us, 30,000 acres being put back to prairie and they added a lot of levees for water retention. supposedly no public access for a few yrs. while it gets going.

Water temp < 80 degrees, built in boots. One less thing to forget and less chance of losing a shoe in the mud.

^^This...and add this Ray Guard Wading Boot when wet wading the coast. I wear those boots and still shuffle my feet.

Simms G3 is the GOAT wader. I’m fixing to toss mine on in a minute and go fly fish behind the house.

Simms are no doubt good quality but you are also paying for the brand.

If you haven't already spent your money and are still shopping check these out. I have had the same pair for 5 years. They have been worn to hunt in, winter wade fishing and breathable enough to wade with in summer if you so choose. Made in TX and they owner handles all customer service himself.

Good to have options. Texas Made

Boot waders for duck hunting
Anything but Banded...they suck, have had two pair and both leaked after one season at the stitches
