How do you guys make fish tacos?

I just use some fried tortillas, fish fried in Andy's Red and for the sauce we use half sourcream and half picante then top it with some shredded cabbage.

Grill some catfish fillets with lemon, pepper, and cilantro. Flour tortilla, shredded red cabbage, a bit of tar-tar sauce. Wash down with Pink Lemonade.

Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.

If you put beans in your chili, you don't know beans about chili.

God doesn't create temporary people, you will spend eternity somewhere. Choose wisely.

I hear ya and feel ya. Same here till I got talked into one. Been a staple of mine now for quite some time. Corn or flour (I'm liking corn now) tortillas, fried (or blackened) speckled trout or crappie, onion an cilantro, salsa verde, little bit of shredded cabbage, lime juice to your taste. Get fancy with mango/red pepper salsa and queso fresco. [Linked Image]

Double corn tortillas
Grilled fish
Pico
Queso fresco

Maybe add some cabbage and dress with avocado/cilantro crema if you've got it laying around.

Corn tortillas, fried baby bass, fresh pico and chipotle ranch. Nothing better.

I had some fish tacos a couple of years ago that were outstanding, and primarily because of the sauce. I got one of the waitresses to fess up one day about it, I wish I'd wrote it down, but I'm pretty sure she said it was ranch dressing and thousand island dressing, with some tony's and a little hot sauce. Glad this topic came up, I need to start experimenting with that.

Roll out to Cherry Creek and catch some of them wally eyed pickerel-pikes. grin I can't even begin to imagine how good a fish taco would be with fresh walleye.
