I don't expect many, if any, replies but thought I'd ask anyway. What is biting in the river now? I was told trout are long gone (not sure I believe it) and sandbass spawn is over. Resident fish? I was there a week or so ago and saw fish rising. I've never fished for trout with a fly, I'm a total newbie at this. Not convinced what I saw was trout either. I've seen huge shad in that area, will they come up and eat bugs?
