Absolutely...and golf course "ponds" benefit from chemical enhancements that other bodies of water don't typically.

My PB bass, bluegill, and Catfish have both came out of small ponds less than a few acres big. Bluegill 1.9lb, Bass just over 5lb Channel Cat 35lbs. I figured sooner or later I will get a DD bass. I lost the biggest bass that would have said it was close to 8lbs right at the boat. I was with the wife and she was getting the net. He was right at the boat. She was taking to long to get the net, so I leaned over to lip him. He shook and unhooked his lip. I've never seen a bass that big in person and almost jumped in after him. I could have fit my fist in his mouth with room to spare. Very sad day for me, but I know one of his eyes was missing so I will know if I catch him again later.

No one needs a boat on that pond you dont even have to cast through tree limbs from the bank. Feeding all those minnows put in there finally paid off.......nice catch...
