I think clothing color is at the end of a long list of things that probably matter a little. Doug Hannon, the late great bass professor, would not only wore clothing to match the sky (blue or grey depending on conditions) he'd also camouflage the bottom of his boat. He was fishing a lot of shallow clear Florida water. He was convinced it mattered.

Does it matter deep cranking an offshore hump on Lake Fork after a heavy rain in chocolate milk water? No, of course not. Could it matter bed fishing in shallow clear water somewhere? Yes, I think it could.

I think my 21' boat displaces enough water to alert the fish well before any t shirt color does. Then again I am just a simple guy with a simple mind. I try not to overthink much.

Actually Skeet kinda got screwed out of 2 AOYs due to a silly points system playoff tournament.

I wear white so I stay cooler on hot sunny days. That is the extent of my color choice

Years ago I was reading about the discussions about hull colors.. scuba divers said hulls pretty much all look dark from underwater. Still some folks think otherwise.

I absolutely think it makes a difference when wade fishing or bank fishing with clear water where you are standing right on top of the fish. As the total distance from the fish increases, it gets less important.

Some days I feel like junebug, others maybe a watermelon red. Depends on what the fish want.

Steve Kennedy's boat wrap is designed to blend in. I've seen Alton Jones change shirts so he matched the sky. Then there are folks like Adrian Avena, the Shryock brothers, and Skeet Reese who wear bright colors with brightly wrapped boats. I personally like a white or light grey shirt to help keep cool.
