I caught and released over a hundred fish today on Lake Belton. The biggest were a 3.5#, 4# and 4.5# hybrids. White bass are chasing the shad on the bank early and ganging up in deep water later.

Fished alone 4-28-20 and had 93 on the clicker. The early morning bite was slow but the deep water action was quite good. Many of the fish were small. I had 1 hybrid and 40 keeper whites.

I’m trying to learn how to catch those hybrids. I just started targeting them summer of last year. Last year on Belton I got some returns on my sonar and picked up some Black Bass off the bottom bouncing spoons. Any tips on the how/where/when and what’s would be appreciated. I really would like to learn how it’s done before I get too old to fish.
No matter where you go, there you are.
