I would think that fishing in a tournament would exactly be the reason to confront him, not the opposite...
if you didnt have time to confront him, why did you decide to tell the forum,..??
I would and have said plenty to guys that that have no manners,...usually we're stationary, and I'm polite,..but
I'll say "If you guys wanna fish here I'd be glad to for ya.." They usually get the hint,..and then there's azzholes
that just dont see any thing but them..cont fix stupid...

It's happening a whole lot more the last few weeks with the lakes being so crowded. There's a lot of rude unsportsmanlike people out there.

I had a guy on Hubb a couple weeks ago idle right next to me, I thought he needed help or something. Shut down. Started fishing the same direction i was. The bank dead ended in 75 yards... I could flip a jig in his boat lol. I confronted him and I guess it was my fault lol. Saw him at the boat ramp at the end of the day. He wouldn’t even look at me. Unreal

Only thing that ever happens to me is some one comes into the area to fish kinda close. Most of the time they keep getting closer if I have the wife with me as she is usually San tanning on the back of the boat. Lucky for me I just tell wife we’re moving and zip out of the area pretty quick. Go hide in another cove until the next creeper comes by. The jet skis are the worse no matter what always jumping around driving right towards you just to jump your waves.

Welcome to the covid crowded lakes, waterways just getting hammered like never before right now.

I try to handle those deals like the guy may be new boater/fisherman and may not know that it’s a D—K move and I try to start a conversation (very nicely)
If other guy decides to go with a different tone, we can do that too! (And it has happened, but most of the time, if handled with tact and good tone, it all goes smooth)

If we don’t call them on it as it’s happening, they will not learn what’s acceptable and they will do it every time they get on the water

It doesn’t do a lot of good posting here...I doubt he’s reading your post

(I’m blessed with a little blonde and yes—I get the same thing, and she’s shy so she always covers up when anyone gets close)

I was fishing down a bank and a guy pulls up in his boat right in front of me in the direction I was going. I mentioned to
him that he had cut me off and he mumbled something about not seeing me (not likely) and fired up his motor and left.

I used to say alot more to people about doing rude things on the water but there are sooooo many idiots out there now
I've just learned to live with it.

Watch this boat slide in from the left...note that I spoke in a normal tone of voice, and my casts were landing right at his rig...hard to hear but he said he couldn’t tell which way I was going. ...In the guys defense...He was polite about it...but I really think he didn’t have a clue what he was doing was so out of line.

You guys are funny. I only run off because my wife is usually the one that’s like let’s go away from the creepers. Then when I want to move and no one is around she blames me for always wanting to move. I’m like [censored] you made me move the last couple times. But I guess it’s better having her out there on the boat and someone to talk to, than trying to whisper to the fish alone.
