Hi - I was hoping you could help. My iginition switch is not at 12:00 when I have the key in the ignition. It faces about 2:00 and then I turn the switch around 2:20. Is that okay. I drove it today and it started up fine but just not the usual 12:00 and 1:00 at ignition crank. I had lost my key so had to pull the switch to get the code. When I put back in it is not quite at the normal 12:00 but it works. I would try to correct but not wanting to mess with if don't need to. Just wanted to make sure ok and no issues. I obsess about it at first but it works...just as long as there are not issues. Help me out please! Thanks!

If I understand you correctly, you're saying you removed the key-switch assembly to get the key code off the housing? ...and then you reinstalled said key-switch. There is usually a locking ring on the back where the nut tightens down to hold the assembly in the dash. It sounds like you simply didn't get it positioned vertically before you tightened the locking nut on the back. If so, you should be able to loosen it and reposition it. If the hole has a shape other than round, you may have put the switch in off-alignment then tightened it. I haven't seen what your switch installation looks like, so can't say exactly, but it sounds simple.

You just need to turn the switch and tighten up the retainer on the back side. NP if you don't it will just bug you especially if OCD.
