If you don't know him personally, then how do you know his type. You only see what someone else, who don't know him wrote.
I do know him personally, and he's a pretty good fisherman. Just sayin'.....

Does he know any of us local Athens fishermen personally before he decided to bad mouth us. He threw the first punch with his disrespectful comments trying to make us look like we are the reason not everybody caught 69 lbs like ott. The old saying goes if you dont start no [censored] there wont be no [censored]. I think he is a totally douche bag of a human being and he proved it with his comments. How good of a fisherman he is has nothing to do with this thread it is his douche bag personality.

I guess I am in the minority here. I don't care who made the comment in the article.. whether its Sprague, who I don't know from Adam, or one of the other Championship qualifiers. If there's any part of it that's true, its ridiculous. Not sure how fishing "parties" could ruin the fishing, but if there were really groups of locals wanting to go jack fish off beds or whatever so the lake didn't show out, that's just sad.
The worst part is that it kind of makes sense given the fact so many locals on here were already doing the RIP Lake Athens when they found out BPT would be on there for the Championship round. So, I guess its actually plausible for this to have happened. You have been on this forum long enough to know, that any information posted about any lake will bring out the RIP <insert lake>. .

It was kind of a curve ball as I was watching then the change to Athens.. I will say this the last time I fished a tourney there we put in and immediately went that way, caught a few fish and I noticed some structure but didnt think much about it..I can see a situation where he saw the fish busting and Ott simply took advantage.. I dont think anybody had an unfair advantage.. Good sticks adapt and adjust.. Athens can fish small, i didnt see much evidence of that though..
OTT is a good pro, and somebody was going to get it done either way.. Personally people will talk smack about any perceived disadvantage if they lose.. Beat the fish!
