Martin Creek re-opened today. Thought I might be the only one there but evidently a lot of other folks thought that too. The lake is in great shape. We've had a lot of rain so of course the lake is high and the stumps are nowhere in sight but stay on the beaten path. Water clarity is good. I was crappie fishing and the bite was pretty good around the train trestle but lots of little ones too. They won't take cash at the park entrance and really didn't want to take my credit card but they did. They want people to buy their permit on line. That's a bunch of hooey and I hope it changes back to how it was soon. No camping allowed yet...just day use.
