I'd give up bbq and wouldn't give it a second thought. Mexican food is my primary food group. Me and WAWI agree on this. I love BBQ, but I'd give it up in a heartbeat if the alternative was giving up mexican food.

There are days I eat a burrito for breakfast, tacos for lunch then go to a mexican place for dinner. It would change my whole diet. The thought of no chips and salsa is unbearable.

I travel quite a bit between here and the other SW states. I can ALWAYS find good Mexican food between here and there, but good BBQ is hit or miss. Up North you can find neither so it's a wash. So I'll give up BBQ for Mexican. Besides, once you put brisket in a tortilla doesn't it magically become Mexican food, especially if you add some smoked chipotles and cheese?

I have had Mexican and bbq in some northern states. I have actually had some good bbq in New York State, Oregon and California. I have had good Mexican in California, but anything else further north has been pretty bad.

I would definitely give up Mexican food. Really enjoy both but BBQ is much preferred!
