Abu Garcia made 3:8 to 1 round reel. Daiwa made one in a low profile but both will have to be found on eBay.

Shimano made one in the old green B series. Not sure that anyone is making anything slower than 5:1.

Round reels almost always have a lower gear ratio because there isn't as much room as on the reels with an enlarged gear housing. Is your goal the torque of the very low gear, or are you trying to slow down that much? If slowing down is the ultimate goat, you can get slower from smaller size reels - in other words go for 100 size, not 200 size. I've got 5.1:1 that's down at 22 inch per turn, and that's at the end of the cast, not when the spool is smaller from line out. ...this thread reminds me.... A couple years ago someone asked this question and one of the replies pointed them to 8:1 reels as optimum for crankbaits! I never was able to get the guy recommending that to understand he had it backwards.

Bass Pro used to make a Pro Qualifier in a 4.7:1 ratio called a "power cranker". Might can find it on ebay? Otherwise I think 5.1:1 is the lowest I've seen and that is the older Shimano Curado dark green reel.

I bought several Shimanol 3.8:1s but did not like them. I use the old greenie e5.1:1 reels. MOF, I have 12 of them left, old greenies. Hope this helps. Tight lies, keep safe and good luck. 3>8:1 was just TOO SLOW for me.

I bought one of those 3.8:1 gear reels way back in the day. I think I made 3 casts with it before I put it down for the day and returned it the next lol. I don't know how anybody could use a reel that slow. 5.0:1 is the absolute slowest reel I would use for cranking, and I just sold my last 5 gear. 6 gear and up for me now.
