What should be done with schools and day care? If people go back to work, what should be done with children?

Daycare businesses were never asked to close. Some chose to do so as their customers withdrew children. Some have been open continuously to serve medical workers. As things start back up, I'm sure daycare and summer camp will do so as well. K-12 I don't know about. That's a government thing, and we know the govt. is rarely known for rational action.

My son, a sophomore at TT, said they are already talking about doing the fall semester totally online, which means he will be here through the holidays at least.......

I know Mississippi has shut them down for this school year, which is a surprise.

Abbott is going to make an announcement Friday. My wife’s district has told them to prepare for online classes for school start next fall. My guess is HS football and volleyball will not be played next fall. At least football, there’s a lot of body fluid exchange. I think the world as we know it will never be the same. I hope I’m wrong. Rant over and headed to Lake Alvarado to look for Nick Byrd.

Update on schools. I'm a superintendent and don't expect to reopen. Too may folks in small areas. I also think we will not start 2020-2021 until after Labor Day...1) for safety and 2) the tourism lobbyist have a lot of power and money. After 37 years I may just retire and get lost in the world as we know it.

Stress less, relax more. Go fishing.

My wife goes home for lunch and lets them out for a bit. That crate is too big. You only want them to have enough room to turn around. They will poop in there.

If parents are going back to work, why wouldn't kids go back to school?
