Hello all. I got a concept Z several months ago and at first it was butter smooth when retrieving, now when I retrieve it almost feels like somethings in the gears. It still works fine it’s just like a vibration when reeling in. I’ve taken it apart, cleaned it, greased gears no improvement. If I take the spool out and crank it, it’s smooth. When I put the spoil in and close the side plate it does it. Any suggestion? It’s meticulously clean.

I’m thinking bent spool shaft, but man I haven’t had the spool out since I put line on it!!! The bearings look good. no nicks or anything. I wonder if my concept A spool would fit just to test that theory...

The A's spool will fit so will the bearings. Only difference on the Z' spool is its deeper.
